Agents are reminded that Tourism Malaysia and CITC are hosting what some have called the “Ultimate” in fam trips to Malaysia from Nov. 25 to Dec. 7. Departing from Vancouver on China Airlines, the trip is priced at $1,295 p.p. and includes just about everything from international and domestic airfare to hotels, meals, sightseeing and admissions. The trip includes visits to Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Sapi Island, Sandakan, Sepilok, Sukau and Melaka.
The trip is only available to 10 travel professionals with additional space allocated to allow five students who had attended CITC’s 2008 Western Canada Student Conference in Vancouver -- and who won the Malaysia Tourism essay contest -- to attend as guests of Tourism Malaysia. The trip will be escorted by CITC president Steve Gillick, who visited mainland Malaysia and Borneo several years ago, and will serve as a trainer on the fam to value-add to the experience.
