WestJet expands Caribbean service

WestJet has launched new seasonal service between Toronto and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. WestJet will fly between Toronto and Turks and Caicos three times per week through May 1. One-way fares are available from $149, plus applicable taxes and fees. The airline has also introduced new service between Toronto and Cayo Coco, Cuba, every Wednesday and Saturday, as a seasonal charter operated by WestJet Vacations, through May 1. WestJet adds more sun routes

 WestJet is planning to add service to more sun destinations this winter. Starting Dec. 11, the airline will have non-stop service from Quebec City to Cancun every Saturday until April 30. Service from the Quebec capital to Fort Lauderdale will begin Dec. 12, with one flight every Sunday until April 24. WestJet serves up Grasshöppers

| WestJet and Calgary-based Big Rock Brewery are teaming up to make Big Rock's best-selling Grasshöpper wheat ale available for purchase on board all flights. Grasshöpper, which won a gold medal at the 2009 Canadian Brewing Awards, is a Kristall Weizen German-style wheat ale that is delicately hopped and delivers a bright finish. One of Big Rock's most popular beers, Grasshöpper is now being sold in cans on all WestJet flights with bar service (over two hours). |
Icelandair expands 2011 Toronto schedule

 Celebrating four years of operation in Canada, Icelandair has announced an expanded schedule and an early kick-off to its 2011 seasonal service from Toronto. Nearly two month earlier than anticipated, Icelandair's Toronto service will begin on March 30, 2011 and offer four flights per week with a fifth flight starting April 26, 2011. Further plans include additional non-stop summer flights starting in June.

Air Canada reports record load factor for June

 For the month of June, Air Canada reported a record system load factor of 84.7% on a consolidated basis with Jazz (from which Air Canada purchases regional capacity), versus 80.9% in June 2009, an increase of 3.8%.
