Porter debuts year-round Quebec City service

 Porter Airlines debuted its new Quebec City schedule yesterday, offering year-round service to Toronto City Centre Airport (TCCA). Porter offers three daily roundtrip flights, building on the current seasonal and weekend schedule. The expansion comes as a result of two successful summer seasons, requests from passengers and ongoing strong ticket sales in the region. Connecting flights for other Porter destinations, including Thunder Bay, Boston, Chicago and New York are also available via Toronto. ( http://www.flyporter.com)

Gulf Air expands flight schedule

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has added five more destinations -- Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, Basra in Iraq, Isfahan in Iran, Aden, Yemen and Colombo, Sri Lanka - to its flights schedule. Cathay increases Toronto, Hong Kong service

Beginning Oct. 31, Cathay Pacific will add two more flights to its schedule between Toronto and Hong Kong, offering travellers a choice of 12 flights weekly between the two international hubs. Porter expanding Tremblant service

Porter Airlines is returning to the slopes of Mont Tremblant, Que., for its fourth winter season, with increased service from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Up to 12 flights per week are available this winter, an increase from eight flights per week last season. The Mont Tremblant winter schedule debuts Dec. 21, running until April 3. Flight time is just over an hour between downtown Toronto and Mont Tremblant.

Porter expands New York service

After finalizing approval for four additional slots at Newark Liberty International Airport, Porter Airlines will operate 11 daily roundtrip flights New York from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, beginning Sept. 20. Porter set to expand fleet

Porter Airlines has placed a new order for four Bombardier Aerospace Q400 NextGen aircraft, plus six options. Based on the list price for the Q400 NextGen aircraft, Porter's firm order is valued at approximately US$120 million, which could increase to US$308 million should all six options be converted to firm orders. Icelandair expands 2011 Toronto schedule

Celebrating four years of operation in Canada, Icelandair has announced an expanded schedule and an early kick-off to its 2011 seasonal service from Toronto. Nearly two month earlier than anticipated, Icelandair's Toronto service will begin on March 30, 2011 and offer four flights per week with a fifth flight starting April 26, 2011. Air Canada reports record load factor for June
