Grenada spices it up
The “Spice Isle” is adding sizzle to the winter travel season with a range of new developments, among them the openings of the boutique Petite Anse Hotel and the luxury Prickly Bay Waterside complex earlier this year. Still in the process of developing are the Port Louis Marina, which will offer 400 new berths once completed, and the Grenada Four Seasons Hotel and Residences. But there’s more to Grenada than its range of accommodations, says the Caribbean island’s tourist board director, William Joseph (right in picture). “We’re no longer going into the market on the strength of our beautiful accommodations or our beaches; the promise of our brand is the assured warmth of Grenadians,” says Joseph. “Our spice is really our people!” Pictured with Joseph are Karen Stephenson, sales manager, Grenada Board of Tourism, and Edwin Frank, public relations officer, GBT.
