Anderson Vacations gets behind Tourism Cares
Since 2007, Anderson Vacations has been passionate about helping preserve historical, cultural and natural sites around the world and to help achieve this goal has supported Tourism Cares with client and company donations. Tourism Cares works to preserve sites around the world from destruction, and has been working towards this goal since its inception with the merger of the National Tourism Foundation and the Travelers Conservation Foundation in 1999. Corey Marshall, president/CEO of Anderson Vacations, says he supports the organization because, “I feel it is important to preserve these sites for future generations to enjoy as much as our passengers have.” Tourism Cares works hard to achieve their goals through a number of different facets. These include volunteer days and clean up programs, scholarships for students in Travel & Tourism, hands-on industry experience for students, grants to different sites around the world and the Save Our Sites Program. Anderson participates in the Save Our Sites Program, which involves showing a short video outlining the goals and mission of Tourism Cares and then asking for donations of any size from passengers on their tour programs. This year, Anderson Vacations raised $1,273.37 from passengers and as per their commitment to the program matched these donations dollar for dollar. A cheque in the amount of $2,546.74 was recently presented to Tourism Cares from Anderson Vacations. (http://www.tourismcares.org , http://www.canadatravelsolution.com)
