Jonview gets in the spirit
More than 80 employees at Jonview Canada’s Toronto office recently took part in the company’s annual “Spirit Day.” The Toronto team visited the Salvation Army Camp at Jackson’s Point in Sutton, Ontario and worked hard all day helping the camp with various chores, such as, sanding and staining picnic tables, cleaning cabins, building an outdoor hockey rink, chopping and stacking wood, planting trees, laying a new forest trail and rolling pennies left over from summer camp. As well, Jonview employees also donated clothing that will benefit children attending the camp. The Salvation Army Jackson’s Point summer camp provides a variety of subsidized programs throughout the year for over 2000 children, youth and even adults who would otherwise not be able to afford the cost of going to camp. Many of the people who participate come through other community programs run by the Salvation Army and all are welcome. The members of Jonview’s Spirit Day Committee, from l to r, are Nathalie Gagnon, Daynette Brooks, Vicki Clarke, Pascale Pearson, Monique Gomba, Margherita DeCesare and Carla Moreno.
