B&B at national historic site
Fort St. James, a restored Hudson's Bay Company post northwest of Prince George, was once fur trading hub during the 19th century. Today, the Parks Canada site showcases the country's largest collection of historic wooden buildings with roots to the fur trade, including a trade store and office, a general warehouse and fields/gardens. The one-time residence hub for the fort is now a B&B, including rooms outfitted with artifacts from the late 1800s. Guests can prepare food in the kitchen, using a wood burning stove, a home-spun breakfast follows the night's stay. Go to http://www.pc.gc.ca .
