As part of a newly launched social media engagement program, the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) is encouraging residents and visitors to show how the best part of travelling through the Hawaiian Islands can often be the unplanned moments of a “planned” vacation.

While familiar, iconic sites and activities in Hawaii are essential for any itinerary, more travellers are discovering unexpected pleasures await them when they let the magic of the islands lead them to new experiences. The HVCB is inviting travellers to tag #LetHawaiiHappen in their social media posts to share these personal Hawaii vacation memories with the rest of the world, and also to see how others enjoyed their days and nights across the islands.

The program provides an opportunity to amplify these stories and photos, says the HVCB. Selected social media user-generated content chosen from #LetHawaiiHappen will be featured across HVCB’s marketing channels, showcasing authentic Hawaii experiences to inspire potential visitors to come share their own memories. The content will be curated by HVCB for its web site, as well as its print, digital, online and social media marketing.
