Caravelle Hotel To Close For Renovations

St. Croix, US Virgin Islands’ Caravelle Hotel & Casino will temporarily close on April 30, 2018 to complete renovations due to damage caused by Hurricane Maria, a rare, maximum-strength Category 5 storm that hit the island Sept. 20.

As a landing place for emergency personnel, the Caravelle is continuing to house relief workers as they work to repair infrastructure around the island. The hotel will begin the major repairs as quickly as possible and hopes to re-open for business Sept. 1, 2018.

Located adjacent to the hotel, Rumrunners Restaurant, Big Beards Sailing Charters and the Caravelle Casino are open and will remain open while the hotel is being repaired.

Caravelle Hotel & Casino is a waterfront, European-style hotel that “combines old-world charm with world-class service and amenities.” A landmark in Christiansted for more than 50 years, the hotel is centrally located to shops, restaurants, art galleries and historical landmarks.
