Cruising With Transat

Transat has launched its 2014-2016 Cruise Collection which offers a range of new experiences, along with the addition of two cruise lines, new itineraries and special offers.

Annick Guérard, general manager, Transat Tours Canada, said: “More and more travellers are opting for cruises because of their comfort and itineraries that make it possible to discover several destinations on one trip. For this reason, Transat Holidays continues to expand its program by adding two new companies defined by their service quality.”

To that end, Holland America Line and Croisières de France are now part of Transat Holidays’ cruise program.

Transat Holidays is inviting travellers to discover the exclusive Croisières de France Horizon ship, sailing from Santo Domingo from December 2014 to April 2015. The 7-night Petites Antilles itinerary is designed for an international clientele and visits La Romana, St. Maarten, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Margarita Island in Venezuela. Children ages 2 to 16 sail and eat for free, except during the Christmas and New Year period.

Another Transat Holidays exclusive, the MSC Musica departing from La Romana is also designed for

international passengers and is available from Quebec, from December 2014 to March 2015. The charming,

Cruise passengers flying Air Transat to Fort Lauderdale can check in a total of up to 25 kg (5 kilos more than the regular baggage allowance for Florida). Upon arrival at the Fort Lauderdale airport, they also benefit from complimentary baggage delivery to their cabin.

And with flight protection, passengers who booked a cruise package and flight through Transat Holidays can travel with peace of mind. If a delayed flight causes them to miss their cruise, they will be rebooked on the next available flight to meet their cruise. Likewise, if a ship delay causes them to miss their flight home, Transat Holidays will rebook them on the next available flight.

Transat Holidays’ Cruise Collection features more than 200 itineraries on cruise lines sailing the Atlantic, Europe and the Caribbean.

Cruise lines include AmaWaterways, Azamara Club Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cuba Cruise, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Star Clippers and Uniworld River Cruises.
