Porter Airlines is celebrating eight years of service.

From its home base at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Porter serves a total of 20 destinations in Canada and the US with a network currently stretching from Thunder Bay, Ont., and Chicago in the west, to St. John’s, NL, in the east, and as far south as Myrtle Beach, SC.

Features such as airport lounge access for all passengers, complimentary wine and beer onboard, and stylish employee uniforms have helped create an enjoyable travel experience recognized around the world.

“It’s rewarding being able to provide our passengers with the service we do, along with competitive airfares and an alternative when they plan a trip,” said Porter president Robert Deluce. “Porter has grown to the point we are today because we offer people that choice and our team is focused on the details that make for an overall pleasant trip.”

In the last year, Porter surpassed 300,000 total flights and 12 million passengers. An interline partnership was established with JetBlue Airways, creating more travel opportunities on dozens of routes through complementary operations.
