More Than Meets The Eye

In this week’s digital edition of Travel Courier, editor Mike Baginski writtes: I was expecting a kangaroo – as usual. However this year when the team from Goway popped by the office as part of its annual fall sales blitz, they were dressed more like penguins. Not actual penguins, mind you, but James Bond black and white, complete with champagne and BMW.

That’s because this year’s theme (at Toronto, Vancouver, and Edmonton locations visited by Goway staff) is luxury, and more particularly that not only does Goway sell it, but is heavily invested in the segment.

“We want to remind agents that we offer more than just three- and four-star properties,” company GM, Wholesale, Anita Emilio told Travel Courier, adding that Goway, which is known for its Downunder product, as well as Africa, Asia, Latin America, Idyllic Islands, and the Polar regions of Antarctic and the Arctic, has a new premium service available to travel agents.

“We are generally known as destination experts who provide a full range of products from budget-minded to high end Stays of Distinction,” says Emilio, “but we also offer a premium service for VIP bookings… All professional agents want to sell more luxury products and reap the financial benefits of higher margins on their sales, and Goway is the perfect partner for these agents.”
