O Canada

As Canada gets ready to celebrate its 150th birthday year, Globus has put together a host of experiences for 2017 to showcase the country Canada from coast to coast – from the elegant charm of Victoria to the legendary hospitality of rugged Newfoundland.

“We’ve found there’s a growing market for domestic Canadian tours,” says Stéphanie Bishop, managing director of the Globus family of brands in Canada. “People want to experience this fast country in the company of new-found friends, with a fun and knowledgeable tour director. And we’re sure 2017 is going to be a huge year for domestic tourism.”

The most popular itinerary, she adds, for Canadians is the 12-day Newfoundland & Labrador tour, this year there were 11 departures which all sold out early. Next year will feature 18 departures.
For clients wanting to be a part of the special Canada Day events, Globus is inviting them to spend an extra night in Ottawa on the June 26 departure of Historic Cities of Eastern Canada.

Other popular Canada tours – many of which feature beautiful landscapes and memorable outdoor activities – include: Glacier National Park & the Canadian Rockies (a nine-day tour that starts/ends in Calgary); Spirit of the Rockies (12-day adventure that begins/ends in Vancouver); Great Canadian Rail Journey (13 days from Toronto to Vancouver); and Wonders of the Maritimes & Scenic Breton (a nine-day vacation that begins/ends in Halifax).

As a part of every vacation, Globus provides travellers “Local Favorites” cultural and culinary insights with experiences such as: Meeting a Mountie who will share stories and the history of the RCMP or walking through nature with a picnic lunch in Banff.
