Staying Connected With HAL

Holland America Line (HAL) is adding more ways for its sales team to connect with travel agents through the Facebook and Twitter platforms under the handle HALpartnerSHIPS.

Featuring Eva Jenner, Holland America’s vice-president of sales, as well as other members of the trade team, the social media channels provide agents with tips, inside information, guidance for navigating the travel partner portal, instant access to HAL’s sales executives and peers, and more.

In addition to Jenner, HALpartnerSHIPS Facebook and Twitter pages feature HAL president Orlando Ashford; senior director, Trade Communications and Engagement Denella Ri’chard; senior director, National Accounts North America Charles Dunwoody; and the cruise line’s experienced team of business development managers.

“Having a voice on social media enables us to communicate with our partners about anything that’s relevant in the moment, and we’re having a lot of fun connecting with travel professionals online,” says Jenner. “While our GoHAL.com agent portal and eNewsletter are still very important tools, social media makes it possible to get a message out to everyone quickly and talk about something that might not make it into our other communication channels. I encourage all of our travel partners to like and follow us on Facebook and Twitter so they can be ‘in the know’ with everything going on.”

The HALpartnerSHIPS social channels offer tips on how to sell Holland America Line, where to find the best marketing tools, guidance for getting the most out of GoHAL.com, encouragement to take the HAL Academy Specialist Training Courses, itineraries of interest, BDM spotlights, promotions details, inspiring quotes, shipboard amenities and more. Trending hashtags such as #MotivationalMonday, #ThursdayThoughts and #FoodieFriday offer opportunities to give advice and showcase the cruise line’s exceptional culinary program.
