The Travel Agent Next Door (TAND) has launched an outreach initiative to attract small, storefront agencies looking for ways to grow their sales and increase their profitability, while reducing their administrative costs and workload.
The host agency is also running a contest where agencies can win a year’s worth of services valued at more than $19,000.
“We know that there are a lot of agencies out there who are struggling to grow sales and increase their profitability. The main reason for this is that they don’t have enough time to concentrate on selling travel,” said Flemming Friisdahl, founder, The Travel Agent Next Door. “They are too busy worrying about fees, rent, staff, accounting and a lot of other things that we can completely remove from their plate.”
Friisdahl said that time and time again, agencies who join The Travel Agent Next Door tell him how relieved they are to get out from under all that administrative work and also reduce their costs.
“The best part,” says Friisdahl,” is that they can get back to doing what they love, which is selling travel.”
He added that once these agencies concentrate on sales instead of administration, they become re-energized about their business and their sales and profits grow – and their costs are reduced because The Travel Agent Next Door takes care of a lot of their former costs. These include: ACTA, TICO, IATA, BCCP fees; website, marketing costs; accounting system and accounting person costs; phone and fax line costs; errors and omissions insurance and even rent if the agency decides to go home-based.
Friisdahl said he just wants to have a conversation with any agency owner who is feeling overloaded.
“I can show them how things could be vastly different for them, how they can stay in business, grow their sales. They don’t have to sell or retire, and they can enjoy being in the travel business again.”
