UNIGLOBE Travel Asia Pacific Appointment

David Hughes has been named managing director, UNIGLOBE Travel (Asia Pacific).

Hughes will be working with the team at UNIGLOBE Travel HQ in Vancouver, to expand its Asia Pacific footprint and increase multi-national networking opportunities for the specialty brand, Global Solutions.

Hughes has in-depth experience in the travel management industry with over 25 years of leadership experience across airlines, corporate and retail travel and tour/wholesale operations.

Hughes’ has held senior executive management positions with Qantas Airways, Qantas Business Travel and was the managing director of Travel Counsellors. As well, he has been a member of the Global Business Travel Association’s (GBTA) Asia Pacific board and executive committee for the Jetset Travelworld Group (now Helloworld).
