WestJet Makes Time For Agents

WestJet hosted members of its Travel Agent Advisory Board (TAAB) for two days of discussions and planning at the Grand at Moon Palace in Cancun this week.

The session was attended by 39 TAAB members representing 34 travel agencies across Canada. Both corporate and leisure agents were invited to share their feedback and had the opportunity to engage with WestJet employees face-to-face.

The agenda for the meeting included presentations by Jane Clementino, director of agency sales at WestJet, and members of WestJet’’s revenue and pricing and technical operations teams.

Clementino observed of the meetings, ““Over the past few days, we’’ve gained some valuable insights thanks to great discussions with the TAAB.”

WestJet’s director of agency sales continued, ““I think our members also learned a lot about the many ways we’’re working to be easier to do business with. By providing in-depth workshops and educating the TAAB about our products and services, we’re giving them the tools to help sell WestJet and WestJet Vacations, and attract the premium traveller. They can then share this knowledge with all their colleagues back home.””

TAAB members collaborated with WestJetters at the conference to review and plan for a wide range of WestJet and WestJet Vacations strategies, including product, partnerships, digital, network and scheduling and WestJet Rewards.

“All of our TAAB sessions help WestJet make positive changes that directly impact the travel trade,” Clementino said.

““We will continue to embrace their feedback and add to our list of accomplishments with them each year,”” she concluded.
