Ghent Light Festival The Welcome Back to Flanders Fields Pass is full of vouchers that provide discount or reduced entry fees to various museums and attractions within the Flanders Fields region. These discounts range from 25% off to a full 100% discount. Many of the region’s museums and visitor attractions, including the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres and Memorial Museum Passchedaele in Zonnebeke, as well as a wealth of the smaller, privately-run sites are participating in the Welcome Back Pass.

105th Anniversary of the Third Battle of Ypres
Last Post On July 30th, 2022 the Canadian government, the city of Ypres, and the Belgian and Flemish governments will hold an official commemoration for the third battle of Ypres. There will be a special Last Post at the Menin Gate at the occasion of the 105th anniversary.

Together with the Canadian government, The Municipality of Zonnebeke and the Passchendaele Society, the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 organize a ceremony at Crest Farm on Nov 10th, 2022 followed by a torch parade to Passchendaele church.

KMSKA Antwerp reopening in 2022
KMSKA Antwerp The countdown is on! Yes, September 25th, 2022 will be the day! The long-awaited day that the KMSKA in Antwerp, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, will finally reopen its doors to the public. We have been eagerly looking forward to this date after a long renovation period. A feeling of excitement is rising in and around the KMSKA.

The KMSKA was founded in 1810. The museum houses an extensive collection of sculptures and paintings from the 14th to the 20th century. It has been closed for renovations since 2011.

Belgian entry rules
entry rules Entry into a foreign country can be challenging during the COVID pandemic. Belgium uses a color-coding system to code other countries. Based on this system, entry rules are determined. Currently Canada is listed as an ‘orange’ country. Canadian entering Belgium from Canada must complete a passenger locator form (PLF) but can enter the country without a test or quarantine. Please note the Canadian government requirements for air travel from/to Canada.
