GREAT OUTDOOR DISCOVERIES
NORTHERN THAILAND: DOI INTHANON NATIONAL PARK
This national park which covers an area of 1,005 square kilometers is located on Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain which is 2,565 meters above sea level.
As one of Thailand’s most popular national parks, highlights include unique wildlife, gorgeous twin pagodas, panoramic mountain views and year-round cold weather in the higher elevations.
Go birdwatching and discover over 500 species of birds. You can also venture to the park’s twin pagodas Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon and Nophamethanidon and learn more about these fascinating chedis.

CENTRAL THAILAND: KHAO YAI NATIONAL PARK
Listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khao Yai National Park was established in 1962 and is the third largest park in Thailand covering an area of 2,168 sq. km.  With camping options available, this park also offers great trails for hiking, visiting waterfalls, and wildlife sighting.  Take a guided 2-hour hike to Nong Pak Chi Wildlife Tower where you can spot gibbons, elephants, and more diverse wildlife. For the more adventurous, climb 199 steep stairs to find a colossal waterfall with a 150-meter drop, Haew Narok Waterfall.

SOUTHERN THAILAND: KHAO SOK NATIONAL PARK
Khao Sok was established as Thailand’s 22nd national park in 1980 and is a popular choice for many due to its convenient proximity to areas such as Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak, and Koh Samui.  The area is comprised of lush rainforests, limestone (karst) landscapes, trails, caves, raft houses, and plenty of wildlife hiding in the thickets—including elephants, gaurs, sambar deer, wild boars and crab-eating macaques.  In 1987, a 165-sq. km. reservoir, now known as Cheow Larn Lake, was created in Khao Sok, further adding to the beauty to be explored.
