Porter Airlines to Nantucket
Did you know that your clients can now fly direct from Toronto through Boston’s Logan International Airport to Nantucket Island? The pedestrian tunnel connecting Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to the mainland is almost complete! There will be a bank of 6 elevators on the mainland side taking pax 100 feet down to the tunnel level where 4 moving sidewalks will take them to the island where elevators will bring them up to the check-in area. Families Will Enjoy a ‘Real’ Taste of Old New England
The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, which tells the story of “the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution,” is permanently extending its hugely popular Huzzah! Tavern Nights, Boston’s only colonial tavern experience. On the second & fourth Friday evening of every month beginning on Fri., June 26, 2015, from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m., visitors are invited into a spirited 18th-century tavern complete with live period music, rustic fare and historically-inspired beverages amidst a host of important historical Boston residents including Paul Revere, John Hancock and Samuel Adams along with other colonial characters.

Guests feast on hearty tavern fare, learn and play 18th-century games, learn and sing period songs such as “Nottingham Ale” and enjoy lively colonial music in an historical atmosphere. A Canadian Connection in Boston
The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) recently announced that Matthew Teitelbaum, current Director and CEO of the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto was appointed as the next Director at the MFA. He assumes his exciting new role on August 3rd. Formally elected at a special meeting of the MFA’s Board of Trustees in early April, Teitelbaum becomes the 11th director in the MFA’s 145-year history. He was selected after an international search overseen by a committee appointed by the Board.

A scholar of contemporary, European and Canadian art, Teitelbaum holds a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Canadian History from Carlton University, a Master of Philosophy in Modern European Painting and Sculpture from the Courtauld University of Art, London and an honorary Doctor of Laws from Queens University. He’s taught at Harvard, York and the University of Western Ontario and has lectured internationally.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston welcomes more than one million visitors each year. Make sure your clients plan a visit to this amazing museum when in Boston.
