RVC 2025
All You Need To Know Before You Go To Winnipeg

We can’t wait to welcome you to Winnipeg next week to kickstart Rendez-vous Canada 2025, Canada’s premier international tourism marketplace.

To ensure you get the most out of your time in Winnipeg, we’ve compiled this “Know Before You Go” guide, full of information and important details.

Getting Around Winnipeg during RVC

Our RVC 2025 hosts, Travel Manitoba and Tourism Winnipeg, are providing shuttle services throughout the event.

With service from Winnipeg International Airport (YWG) to Rendez-vous Canada’s official hotels, as well as the RBC Convention Centre and the various official evening events, our shuttle buses have you covered.

Refer to the RVC app or our website for full details of the shuttle service.

Prefer to stretch your legs? We are pleased to offer daily, guided walking tours from the RVC hotels to the RBC Convention Centre. All official RVC hotels and most off-site social events are located within 2.5 km of the convention centre so this is a great opportunity to get those steps in.

Walking-tour durations vary based on starting point, but don’t worry, they’re all aligned with the Rendez-vous schedule so you won’t miss any of your marketplace appointments! For more information on the walking tours, visit the RVC site (scroll to the bottom of the page).

Registration Desk and Hours of Operation

All guests attending Rendez-vous Canada must collect their badge in order to access the marketplace and all official RVC events.

The Registration desk is located on the second floor mezzanine of the South Building at the RBC Convention Centre.

Thanks to our registration sponsor, Avolta, we will be providing an Express Check-In Station. Simply scan the QR code that will be sent to you via email ahead of your arrival in Winnipeg and print your name badge!

The registration desk will be staffed at the times below and our team will be available to answer any questions you may have:

Please remember, your RVC badge is required for access to all official RVC events.

RVC Schedule Highlights

The full RVC schedule can be found on the mobile app and on our website.

Remember to mark your calendars for these key events!

Tuesday, May 27 | Destination Canada’s Inside Track
2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Room 2EF, RBC Convention Centre

Sellers are invited to Destination Canada’s Inside Track at Rendez-vous Canada 2025.

Inside Track is an opportunity to bring our tourism industry together with representatives from DC’s international offices to gain valuable insights about the markets and what Buyers are looking for before the marketplace opens. This year’s session will include a full plenary session, followed by breakout sessions led by each of our regional teams.

The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada will join us to show you how to incorporate Indigenous products into your packages.

Tuesday, May 27 | Welcome To Canada Opening Reception
5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Assiniboine Park Zoo and Leaf

Raise a glass, sample some hors d’oeuvres, and meet your fellow RVC 2025 attendees, as well as Manitoba’s most iconic residents, the rescued polar bears, at the Journey To Churchill exhibit at Assiniboine Park Zoo. Engage with them (the Buyers and Sellers, not the polar bears) in a ‘chill’ atmosphere from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Next, move on to one of the newest attractions in town, The Leaf, also located within Assiniboine Park. This is the main reception where everyone can enjoy local bites and refreshments against a lush backdrop that reflects the diversity of Canada’s natural beauty.

Transfers will depart from both the RBC Convention Centre and the host hotels at 5 p.m. so that you may enjoy both venues. Alternatively, if you have already met the polar bears, you can head directly to The Leaf with shuttles running from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, May 28 | Indigenous Opening of the Marketplace
8 a.m. - 8:20 a.m.
DC / ITAC booth, RVC Marketplace floor

Prior to the first appointments, join us at the DC / ITAC booth on the marketplace floor for a special welcome from the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada, Indigenous Tourism Manitoba, the local First Nations and Metis.

Taking place at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, this special ceremony will open RVC in a special and meaningful way, welcoming attendees to the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Dakota and Dene Nations, and the homeland of the Red River Métis.

Wednesday, May 28
Seller-Seated Shopping Session & TIAC Member Appreciation Happy Hour

5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
RVC Marketplace

Back this year is the Seller-Seated Shopping Session. Following the last pre-scheduled appointment of the day, Buyers will have the opportunity to explore the RVC marketplace and connect with any Seller they wish. This is a great opportunity to connect with someone you might not have an appointment with, or to spend more time with someone you connected with earlier.

Additionally, during this same hour, TIAC-Member Sellers will have the opportunity to connect with fellow members over refreshments, including beer, wine, and soft drinks. You’ll receive two drink tickets, redeemable at any of the three bars.

We encourage you to share your tickets with a buyer or media delegate so that you may socialize before the free evening begins. TIAC looks forward to raising a glass with you!

Thursday, May 29 | Host-Night Reception
6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Canadian Museum for Human Rights

One of the most anticipated events at every Rendez-vous Canada is the host night, which takes place on Thursday evening, and this year will be no exception.

Our hosts, Tourism Winnipeg and Travel Manitoba, are planning a memorable evening at the world-renowned Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Prepare to be inspired as they guide you through an immersive experience that celebrates the stories, cuisine, regions, and culture of Manitoba—all within one of the country’s most iconic and thought-provoking landmarks.

Marketplace Floor Plan

The RVC marketplace floor will be bustling with nearly 500 Canadian Sellers.

To help you get from appointment to appointment, the RVC floor plan is available online and in the RVC App. This interactive version will help you to easily navigate the floor between appointments.

Wednesday Is Your Free Night—Here Are Some Options On How To Spend it

Halfway through RVC and in need of some time to do your own thing? We’ve cleared everyone’s schedules Wednesday after 6 p.m. to allow for you to do just that. Of course, that doesn’t mean you have to sit in your hotel room alone. While there is no RVC-sanctioned event being held following the close of the marketplace floor at 6 p.m., many Sellers will use the time to host buyers and VIPs at private functions.
For those who brought their dancin’ shoes, there will be a Retro Video Dance Party, hosted by Fort Garry Hotel (222 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB) from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. It’s open invitation, so come one, come all!

Prefer a more self-guided evening? Winnipeg’s culinary scene is full of reasons to step out and savour something new. Whether you're after casual bites, local brews, or a destination-worthy dining experience, the city's newest restaurants are worth checking out.
