Automated monthly commission payments make bookkeeping a snap

As an agent or agency, there’s nothing more frustrating than chasing commission payments. That’s why the St. Regis Hotel has automated its accounting system to pay commissions automatically each month.

That means no follow-up emails or phone calls, and no late payments, just the commissions you have earned deposited automatically to help make managing bookkeeping and cash flow simple.

St. Regis performs extensive winter guest room updates and upgrades

This winter, as the St. Regis Hotel approached our 111th anniversary, our annual room refurbishments also included a significant round of upgrades and renovations in preparation for the year ahead. The usual deep cleaning and restoration process was expanded with updates like new mattresses, Nespresso coffee machines, new shower stalls and carpets, touchless door locks, alarm clocks with wireless phone charging, and more.

In all, this winter’s renovations added up to an investment of $10,000 per room or $650,000 in total, dedicated to improving our guest experience and making sure that your clients enjoy memorable and exceptional stays in Vancouver.

St. Regis neon replaced with new LED version

In the 1950s, Vancouver was the neon capital of the world with over 19,000 signs lighting the night—even more than Las Vegas. The St. Regis Hotel has been proud to keep this tradition alive with its iconic red and blue sign lighting up the corner of Seymour and Dunsmuir Streets.

Traditional neon signs are power-inefficient and unreliable, so the hotel recently replaced its sign with a modern LED sign, made with 100% recycled plastics, ultra-low volatile compound paint, and North American aluminum with 55% recycled content.

The new sign will burn brightly and energy-efficiently for years to come with a far smaller carbon footprint.
