Cathay To Increase Toronto Service

CX-Jan16

Cathay Pacific will increase the frequency of its summer service to Toronto with the addition of four weekly flights beginning June 24.

The announcement, which will see Cathay operate a twice-daily non-stop service from Hong Kong to Toronto, will provide passengers with greater travel options and improved connectivity – and comes on the back of successful summer frequency increases to the Ontario capital by the airline over the past two years.

Since launching flights to Toronto in June 1994, Cathay Pacific has seen growing demand to and from the city, especially during the peak holiday period. In line with the current 10-times-weekly service, the additional flights, which will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, will provide passengers with a superior experience across all classes.

The extra four services will continue until Sept. 4.

In addition to Toronto, Cathay Pacific currently flies twice-daily flights to Vancouver from its Hong Kong hub, but will increase this service to 17 flights a week from March 28. The airline recently announced a codeshare agreement with Air Canada, enabling Cathay passengers to book domestic flights on Canada’s national carrier to major cities across the country.
