Grand Opening Celebration at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta
The latest product of a bold partnership between Hyatt Hotels Corp. and Playa Hotels and Resorts was given its official debut last night, with the grand opening beach party at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta.
Fireworks, performances, mariachi music and a Mexican party on the beach welcomed about 200 attendees.
Located on a scenic beach cove just minutes outside Pacific coast Puerto Vallarta, the Hyatt Ziva PV brings new life to the formerly Dreams-branded property. It was closed for a year, during which $14 million was spent on a rethink and recreation of the property, including an entirely new central lobby/leisure and spa building. It incorporates new dining outlets, lounges and a full service spa/fitness centre.
The remake has focused on bringing an all-inclusive concept into the Hyatt family, drawing on the “evolution of all-inclusive” concept, which Playa specializes in. The result has been an upscale blend, whereby guests can enjoy all-inclusive dining in a variety of al a carte restaurants, plus a spacious, well-presented buffet outlet. The concept extends to the rooms, where beverages and snacks are provided.
The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta has 335 rooms suites located in two towers at either end of the beach cove. All are ocean-facing, most have full balconies and many have whirlpool tubs on the balconies. A concierge service is included for guests in the Club Tower.
