G Adventures set to wrap up landmark 2025 FAM year

G Adventures is preparing to mark the close of its 2025 educational travel program, and it’s celebrating a year of highly-anticipated familiarization (FAM) trips that, at the time of completion, will have hosted over 150 Canadian travel advisors across six continents.
The 2025 fam program — which will officially conclude in December — saw agents exploring some of the operator’s most iconic routes, including destinations like Japan, Peru, Greece, Morocco, New Zealand, Jordan, South Africa, the Galapagos, Costa Rica, and Thailand.
The extensive annual program was designed not just for familiarization, but to immerse Canadian agents in the company’s core philosophy of community tourism and ethical travel.
David Green, VP of Sales and Managing Director, Canada, for G Adventures, explained that: “G Adventures has always been an agent-first organization, which is why it’s so important that our FAM trips are intentionally designed to be unlike anything else in the industry.”
And Green emphasized that: “These aren’t just hotel inspections or surface-level sightseeing trips. Instead, we offer meaningful deep dives into our entire philosophy where we focus on showcasing the ‘heartware’ of a destination, not just the hardware.”
He continued: “This means agents go beyond the tourist traps to visit our Planeterra community projects, meet the people their clients will impact, and truly understand how community tourism works on the ground. When our agents return, they don’t just sell a tour, they sell their own authentic experience along with the conviction that travel can be a powerful force for good.”
Said Green: “That’s the expertise and confidence that gives them a successful edge and can set them apart in the market.”

The 2025 itineraries included a unique blend of cultural immersion, active adventure, and social impact, allowing agents to personally experience the products they sell. Additionally, all trips are accompanied by a local chief experience officer (CEO) and also a member of the Canadian G Adventures team who are able to provide destination training and support while on the road.
Beyond unforgettable memories, these trips generated immediate and measurable social impact. The 2025 FAMs contributed to the Trees for Days project, resulting in over 1200 trees planted globally – one for each day an agent was on G Adventures FAM trip.
Furthermore, agents also visited community enterprises supported by G Adventures’ non-profit partner, Planeterra, ensuring their clients travel dollars directly benefit local economies.
However, opportunities for agents don’t end with fam trips, as Erin Rogers, National Sales Manager for Canada for G Adventures, explained: “Our commitment to our agents is centered on the belief that we grow together as true partners. We view their success as our own success, and that drives our commitment to supporting them. This means ensuring they have everything required to excel, from access to training through our monthly In the Loop webinars, year-round discounts, and our G Dollars incentive program.”
Said Rogers: “We aim to be the most supportive partner in the industry, giving agents the tools and knowledge required to confidently sell our products and grow their business.”
Agents interested in experiencing future G Adventures FAM trips for themselves, or who wish to learn more about our small-group adventures and ethical travel initiatives are encouraged to reach out to their local Global Purpose Specialist (GPS), or sign up for the latest news and updates via the G Adventures Canadian Agents of Change facebook group.
