ACTA Accepting Ches Chard Award Nominees

ACTA-April10

ACTA is now accepting nominees for the Ches Chard Award, which will be presented to recognize the best in the Canadian retail travel industry at the ACTA annual general meeting on May 13 in Mississauga, Ont.

ACTA is taking nominees for the award with the recipient being selected by a panel of jurors appointed by ACTA. The deadline for nominations is April 25.

The Ches Chard Award was established in memory of Ches Chard, who played a key role in education awareness within the industry and was instrumental in establishing the first travel school in the Atlantic provinces. The award will be awarded to an individual, a travel agency or a group of travel agencies that have demonstrated a significant commitment to professionalism, education and training and excellence in human resources management.

Businesses or individuals are encouraged to nominate themselves or others for consideration using the nomination form for the Ches Chard award. A 250-word piece is required to support the nomination to demonstrate how the nominee meets the criteria for the award.
