ACTA promotes Lesley Berry, CTC, to Membership Manager

ACTA has promoted Lesley Berry, CTC, to Membership Manager. Berry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism and Parks Management / Tourism Development Honours, from the University of Waterloo and is a Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC).

She has been part of the travel and tourism industry since 2007, with a diverse background that includes experience as a travel advisor, flight attendant, hospitality and tourism instructor, and Disney specialist. Her breadth of industry knowledge provides valuable insight into the evolving needs of travel agencies and advisors across Canada.

Suzanne Acton-Gervais, President of ACTA, said: “Lesley’s industry experience, strong relationships, and dedication to our members make her a natural fit for this role. We are confident she will continue to strengthen ACTA’s support for travel agencies and travel advisors across Canada and further enhance the value we deliver to our membership.”

As Berry approaches her three-year anniversary with ACTA, Lesley continues to demonstrate the professionalism and commitment that have made her a valued member of the team since joining the organization as Membership Coordinator. Most recently, she served as Interim Manager, Meetings and Events, stepping into the role during a maternity leave and ensuring the continued success of ACTA’s international, national and regional events.

Her deep understanding of the travel agency sector and her member-focused approach position her strongly to advance ACTA’s mission and support Canada’s travel advisor community.

Commenting on her promotion, Berry said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to step into the role of Membership Manager and to work alongside such a dedicated, hard-working team. Being part of the membership team means connecting with our members, advocating on their behalf, and promoting the important work they do in an ever-changing industry. I’m proud to continue building momentum with ACTA and supporting our members every step of the way.”
