Aeromexico earns top marks for punctuality

Aeromexico staff are welcoming news that their airline has been recognized for the second straight year as the world’s most punctual carrier.
London-based consulting firm Cirium — which bills itself as the “world’s most trusted source of aviation analytics” — recently announced its On-TIme Performance Review, which revealed that during 2025 Aeromexico stayed at the top of the ranking for seven months and operated nearly 190,000 flights, of which 90.02% landed on time and 91.88% departed according to schedule.
The latest performance enabled Aeromexico to significantly widen the gap over second place. In addition, the company outperformed its operational results by more than 3% compared to 2024, when it also achieved first place in punctuality.
“That Aeromexico has been recognized for the second consecutive year as the world’s most on-time airline reflects the operational discipline and daily commitment of our airport teams, flight crews, maintenance teams, and corporate staff to deliver on our promise: ensuring our passengers arrive on time and safely at their destination. From every destination we serve, we will continue working day by day to provide a warm, high-value service experience, always prioritizing the customer’s experience,” MIchele Martinson, who oversees Aeromexico’s Canadian operation told Travel Press Today.
According to the Cirium report, Aeromexico also led the Completion Factor, an indicator that measures the percentage of flights completed without cancellations or diversions.
The award ceremony took place at an event attended by Andres Conesa, Aeromexico’s CEO, and Jeremy Bowen, CEO of Cirium, which specializes in aviation data analysis.
Aeromexico says the results demonstrate its ongoing commitment to punctuality, driven by “operational excellence and supported by a comprehensive strategy that includes fleet renewal, with more than 160 next-generation aircraft that increase operational efficiency.”
Aeromexico said it’s also focused on “collaboration and delivering results” and “implementing the best tools and systems globally to elevate efficiency on every flight.”
The carrier also says it has established protocols to “address any contingency swiftly and efficiently.”
As well, it says it is committed to collaborating closely with authorities, suppliers and airports.
