Air Canada Cuts Jobs, Suspends More Routes

Air Canada has announced further service reductions and staff layoffs following the ramping up of travel restrictions for Canadians.

The airline is cutting 1,500 jobs temporarily and it is suspending service of 17 additional routes as of next week.

The service reduction follows Air Canada’s suspension of service on its Mexico and Caribbean routes; as well as its decision to temporarily shut down all flights by Rouge – a loss of 80 jobs – last week.
