Air Canada Vacations’ Giving Tuesday donates $86,752 for Jamaica Hurricane Relief

Air Canada Vacations Giving Tuesday initiative has donated $86,752 to the Sandals Foundation Hurricane Relief Mission.

The contribution was made possible through the company’s humanitarian initiative, which pledged $10 per paying passenger for every new package booking to any destination made on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, 2025, in support of communities in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Nino Montagnese, Vice President at Air Canada Vacations, said: “We are deeply grateful to our customers, travel advisors, and partners who responded to our call for action. Thanks to their support, we are able to provide essential aid to families and communities working to recover and rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.”

The donation will help the Sandals Foundation continue to deliver urgent relief and support the restoration of the lives and livelihoods of those who have been affected by the storm.

With over 400 schools severely damaged, “Air Canada Vacations’ generosity will also enable our long-term recovery efforts to rebuild educational spaces for our young ones – a goal we are committed to working alongside Canadian charitable partners to make a reality,” said Heidi Clarke, Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation.

Air Canada Vacations thanks travellers for joining in this effort to make a meaningful impact and is pleased to announce that it has resumed leisure travel to Jamaica.

With flights from Montreal and Toronto to Montego Bay, Air Canada Vacations invites clients to benefit from a $100 discount per person* on select vacation packages to Jamaica when booking from Dec. 15, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026.

Said Montagnese: “Supporting Jamaica’s recovery is not just about providing immediate relief — it’s about helping communities rebuild and thrive. Tourism is vital to the island’s economy, and together we can help Jamaica get back on its feet and ensure a brighter future.”
