Air Canada Vacations reflects on 2025, welcomes advisors’ 2026 insights

Air Canada Vacations recently took some time to reflect on 2025, and look ahead in 2026 as it continues to build and evolve in collaboration with the travel agent community.
And in reflecting on the past 12 months, the tour company noted that one thing is clear — when travel advisors speak, their feedback drives meaningful action, and Air Canada Vacations delivers.
Erminia Gallina, Sales Director at Air Canada Vacations, said that: “Travel advisors across the country, including members of our Travel Agent Advisory Board, shared invaluable feedback with us over the past year, highlighting their priorities and challenges.”
Gallina continued: “Powered by their voice, these insights were instrumental in shaping our 2025 initiatives, clearly illustrating how advisor feedback translates into meaningful support and value for their business.”
Looking back on 2025, some of the highlights include:
ACV Options and CareFlex Plus
Among the most anticipated initiatives was the ACV Options program, a long-requested solution from the travel agent community. It provides 24-hour holds on Sun packages and 48-hour holds on Europe packages, giving advisors greater flexibility and easing the booking process.
This program exemplifies Air Canada Vacations’ commitment to responding to advisor priorities and simplifying their work. To extend flexibility beyond booking, CareFlex Plus was reimagined, offering greater flexibility within three days and the ability to process cancellations up to 24 hours prior to departure. These updates help advisors manage multiple constraints while giving their clients more options and value. For more details, click here to consult flyer.
Recognizing Exceptional Performance
Air Canada Vacations’ dedication to the trade, led to new ways of recognizing exceptional performance. In 2025, the organization launched the Groups Excellence Program, a loyalty program created exclusively for Groups business, a first for Air Canada Vacations. Additionally, the company continued to invest in the Top Ambassador Program, offering expanded opportunities and rewards for top-performing agents across Canada.
Expanding Product Offerings
Beyond the tools and programs, Air Canada Vacations expanded its product line in 2025 to better align with clients’ demand. This included expanding the Diverse Program into new destinations offering more multi-country itineraries and additional European options, supporting continued growth across Europe.
Among the new offerings is the introduction of the Long Stay Programs, now available through ACV, featuring a range of highly recommended inclusions. One notable addition — All-Inclusive beach stays in Palma de Mallorca, Spain — gaining popularity across a wide range traveller segments.
Free Baggage Remains a Core Policy
One of the clearest messages from the trade was free baggage is non-negotiable, an essential for both value and confidence when selling. Free baggage has therefore remained a core policy from the start.
Building on this feedback, Air Canada further enhanced the travel experience by introducing complimentary beer, wine, and snacks on flights to Caribbean destinations as of Sept. 1.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Air Canada Vacations invites travel advisors to share their feedback through their survey to help shape future initiatives. The company’s goal is to make 2026 a year of success for travel advisors.
