November was the month that TIC Travel Insurance Coordinators officially became Allianz Global Assistance in both name and brand. Having completed the transition to Allianz, the fully merged companies welcomed a more international world of opportunity for partners and customers. They sealed the occasion at a dinner event in Vancouver recently.

Allianz CEO Daniel Wichels hosted the dinner at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, and celebrated with the company business development team and their clientele.

“This rebranding is an important and symbolic milestone in the integration of our recently merged entity,” said Wichels.

He noted that the company market presence would be strengthened as a result, and that there would be an improvement in the consistency of product and service offerings. Travel agency partners and their customers previously serviced under TIC would benefit from the strength of the Allianz brand worldwide, he said. Allianz and TIC first announced the merger in the fall of 2014.
