Arajet announces baggage and service policy changes

Dominican flag carrier Arajet has announced changes to its baggage and service policies by introducing its new package portfolio: Basic, Classic, Comfort, and Extra.

The airline also announced that from now on it will not charge for check-in at the counter, has reduced the prices for registering baggage and additional luggage, set fixed rates, and will allow more weight.

Víctor Pacheco, founder and CEO of Arajet, explained that these changes are driven by the airline’s commitment to ensuring passengers “get the best value for their money. We redesigned our packages to simplify the purchase decision and elevate the end-to-end travel experience. We want every customer to feel that their fare was tailor-made for them, without complications.”

Among the new features is the Basic package, which offers the lowest fare and allows travel with a personal item of up to 6 kg.

The Comfort package, designed for vacation and leisure travellers, includes a personal item of up to 6 kg and a checked bag whose allowance increases from 20 kg to 23 kg.

The newly launched Classic package, designed for business travelers, includes a personal item and a carry-on bag of up to 12 kg, with the added benefit of being able to change flights by paying only the fare difference plus an additional fee, as well as the option to select seats.

The Extra package, ideal for families, includes a personal item, a carry-on bag, and a checked bag, as well as unlimited flight changes by paying only the fare difference, seat selection, and priority boarding.

Other changes include group boarding and improved customer service through WhatsApp, enabling passengers to make inquiries, modifications, or cancellations more efficiently.

The new packages are now available at www.arajet.com and can be used immediately.
