Calgary airport building for more capacity

Calgary_APTA new hotel and conference centre are being built to meet the expected growth in passenger traffic at Calgary International Airport, which itself is in the midst of expansion. With more than 13.5 million passengers in 2012, the Calgary International Airport is undergoing a multi-billion dollar development to meet the growing numbers. That includes Canada’s longest runway at 14,000 feet and a new international terminal. Tourism figures show that in 2012, visitors from more than 60 countries and five continents visited Calgary, including tens of thousands of conference delegates.
