IATA is again calling on the Canadian government to urgently discontinue the current COVID-19 related travel restrictions, noting that they are now out of step with the global trend of lifting travel restrictions and are partly responsible for the ongoing delays and disruption affecting air travelers across Canada.

VIA Rail Canada has reached tentative agreements with Unifor's Council 4000 and Local 100, the union representing some 2,400 VIA Rail employees working in its stations, on board its trains, in its maintenance centres, the VIA Customer Centre, and administrative offices.
The tentative agreements are subject to a ratification vote by VIA Rail's Unifor members. Once ratified, the collective agreements will be retroactive to Jan. 1, 2022, and in effect through Dec. 31, 2024.
