The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is reminding all registrants that the TICO Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tues., June 23, 2015 at the Toronto Congress Centre at 4 p.m. TICO is encouraging all registrants to attend the AGM, however, for those not able to attend in person, the event will be webcast so that the presentations can be view online from home or office. ACV Pedals For A Good Cause
The gang at Air Canada Vacations was out in force recently to participate in the Pedal for Kids fundraising event that supports the Montreal Children's Hospital. The ACV team hopped on a 30-seat bike and rolled through the streets of downtown Montreal to attract attention to the initiative. It's the fifth year that ACV has taken part in the event and so far the company has raised $107,665 – $15,890 was raised this year alone. New Transat App Keeps Clients Informed
Transat's has introduced a new iOS Air Transat application for smartphones. The Air Transat mobile application gives travellers access to their flight status, information on the destinations offered by Transat and allows them to download their electronic documents. Patterson Steps Down at Trafalgar
Doug Patterson (r) has decided to step down as the president of Trafalgar Canada, it was announced by the Travel Corporation on this afternoon (Friday, June 12, 2015). G Adventures has extended its agent incentive program by two months.
