Club Med Quebec Charlevoix Is Rainbow Registered

Club Med Québec Charlevoix will be the first resort in the brand’s portfolio to receive the Rainbow Registered accreditation with Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce ahead of its opening in December.

The national accreditation allows LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and organizations to be easily recognizable as an establishment that has met a stringent set of standards to ensure that guest feel welcomed and safe.

In a study, researchers found that the majority of participants felt that they needed to think about their safety and well-being as members of the LGBTQ + community when choosing a destination. Additionally, they’ve experienced situations where they did not feel welcome or had unpleasant experiences at a facility they were staying at.

Vincent Giraud, vice president, managing director of Club Med Canada and North America Sales Operations, said that: “Club Med is proud to be a safe and inclusive place for the LGBTQ+ community. With Club Med Québec Charlevoix opening this December, we are thrilled to be receiving the Rainbow Registration in this next phase of our mission to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all our guests and employees.”

For more than 70 years, Club Med has made it a top priority to ensure guests and employees feel safe, welcomed and accepted. As the community grows and evolves, they are committed to educating and training employees to promote inclusion in their day-to-day operations and beyond.
