Delta Chelsea to change hands

Great Eagle Holdings Limited, owners of Toronto’s Delta Chelsea Hotel, reports that Delta Hotels and Resorts will stop managing the property as of July 1, 2013. Delta says the departure of the Delta Chelsea from the Delta Hotels and Resorts brand fits its overall brand repositioning to make “Delta the leading four-star, full-service hotel chain in Canada. Delta’s brand repositioning will deliver the most upscale guest experiences in the four-star hotel category, and involves introducing new properties and renovating existing ones to feature the most modern design and techno-enabled guest spaces in the Canadian hotel marketplace,”Delta says.
