Discovering the Wonders of Tuscany

It was everything Tuscany this week during a presentation at the Italian Cultural Institute in Toronto hosted by the Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT) and Toscana Promozione Turistica.
On hand from Tuscany to share insights on the destination were Toscana Promozione Turistica’s Director, Francesco Tapinassi; its International Projects Coordinator, Clara Svanera; and its Destination Development Coordinator, Daniela Burrini.
In his introduction, ENIT’s Country Director for Canada, Salvatore Basile said that 2025 marks the second summer in a row that Italy was the top European destination for Canadians according to the Conference Board of Canada, adding that: “I’m sure Tuscany had a big role to play in that.”
Francesco Tapinassi’s presentation featured a wonderful video – Tuscany: Never-Ending Renaissance – that immersed guests attending the event in the sights, sounds and wonders of the destination.
Toscana Promozione Turistica’s Director offers insights on hiking, cycling, luxury, wedding, UNESCO sites and, naturally, food and wine options that visitors to Tuscany can enjoy and experience.
And he emphasized that Toscana Promozione Turistica works hard to help visitors explore Tuscany sustainably.
In their presentations, Clara Svanera and Daniela Burrini expanded on a number of points that Tapanassi had made, outlining cycling and hiking routes; arts and craftmanship; natural wonders; UNESCO sites; a program tailor specifically to women travellers; the food and wine of Tuscany; and more.
It was a lot to take in, but ENIT’s Salvatore Basile summed it up, telling the audience that Tuscany is, and has always been, at the forefront of tourism and a whole lot more.
