Emerald Isle Added to Contiki Campaign

First came Germany, then came Spain. Now it’s Ireland’s time to shine in the third week of Contiki Holidays’ new #travelgoals campaign.

The eight-week long initiative is geared at getting travellers to book trips instead of drafting a bucketlist through limited-time deals on top selling destinations.

“Our tagline is where will your #travelgoals take you? And what we really wanted to do with this campaign was focus on education, benefits, features and really try for more of the emotional sentiment side of travel,” Brad Ford, president, Canada at Contiki Holidays, told PressToday. “All of our content that’s created to compliment each week’s focus is really designed to stir your wanderlust and hopefully get you really motivated to get on a trip.”

For example, this week will feature content from influencer Meagan Faye’s recent trip to Ireland. The Vancouver-based blogger currently has 39.2k followers on Instagram.

Dana Welch of Tourism Ireland says collaborating with Contiki’s demographic of 18- to 35-year-olds is about reaching a younger audience.

“It’s the opportunity to make sure that millennials know about the great opportunities in Ireland, the vibrant cities that we offer and to think of Ireland as a year-round destination,” she says.
The campaign features incentives for agents, which change on a weekly basis, ranging from gift cards to commission surges. For more information, visit http://www.contiki.com/agents.

“We have a partnership with HitCase for gift packs, they’re a very cool company based out of BC and they do neat iPhone and Android covers, but they have telescopic lenses and all sorts of gizmos and gadgets,” added Ford.

Upcoming destinations include Greece, Italy, Thailand, Peru and Australia.
