Florida says we’re number one!

Canadians love Florida and as the Sunshine State’s number one international market for 2011 saw a 5.7% increase over 2010. Preliminary figures indicate 3,278,000 Canadians visited Florida in 2011, up from 3,102,000 in 2010. Last year, about 1,893,000 Canadians flew to various parts of the state and another 1,385,000 drove to Florida. According to officials, Florida tourism has been steadily regaining market share since January 2011, outpacing the rest of the destinations within the US by more than two percentage points for Canadian visitation.
