Green Named CATO Vice Chair

During its most recent meeting of its members, CATO announced that David Green, Managing Director for G Adventures in Canada and also Global VP for Sales and Customer Operations, would succeed long-time Vice Chair Stéphanie Bishop.

As an MBA graduate, Green has almost 30 years experience in business strategy across travel retail and travel wholesale backgrounds. An industry advocate who has built a career focused on growth through a customer centric approach working in the UK, Australia and Canada.

Green is a passionate supporter of driving positive change within the industry, including helping businesses, agents and customers to do more to support community tourism and sustainability.

CATO Chair, Brett Walker said: “We are thrilled to have David join the CATO executive as well as extend a huge thanks to Stéphanie for all her service and continued commitment to CATO”. The current CATO executive consists of Brett Walker (Collette) Chair; David Green (G Adventures) Vice Chair; Nicole Bursey (Transat) TICO Director and Joanne Dhue (Sunwing) TICO Director. CATO has also recently established a standing Sustainability Committee Chaired by Emma Cottis (GOWAY).

CATO is driven by a passionate group of volunteers who donate their time and ideas to advocate for an industry that is diverse, complex and has a foothold in virtually every community across Canada. CATO’s members include organizations offering tour programs and travel packages originating from Canada to international destinations as well as inbound to Canada, intra-Canada and trans-border.
