HAC celebrates

The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) is celebrating its Centennial Anniversary and has embarked on a year-long anniversary campaign that includes a historical video and timeline. The Roaring Twenties meant unprecedented expansion and the construction of hundreds of new hotels; nevertheless it will perhaps be better remembered for the injurious effects of Prohibition on hotels and the illicit means by which hotels tried to negate those effects. The video and timeline chronologically demonstrate much of what was happening in the Canadian Lodging Industry decade by decade and showcases the HAC’s and its members’ activities through these years.
