Anil Oraw, the new director for India Tourism, Toronto was introduced to about 50 members of the Canadian travel trade on Monday (May 5).
Oraw was quick to thank the group for their patience as the office has not had a director for some time. In fact, he told his audience that he appreciated their efforts in supporting and promoting India during that time.
“India is a beautiful land with no end of opportunities,” Oraw said, before adding that India is a strong supporter of the travel trade and will be planning educational trips to help promote its wonders.
He also invite everyone to visit India Tourism’s offices in Toronto to discuss their ideas, before noting that the tourist office will also be participating in a variety of trade shows and industry events.
India’s Consul General, Akhilesh Mishra was also on hand for the event, telling the gathering that he was “delighted” to have Oraw in Canada, and that he would be a “dynamic” addition to the team. Mishra also thanked the travel trade for its support.
