Inn at Laurel Point teams up with the Royal BC Museum

Victoria’s Inn at Laurel Point has partnered with the Royal BC Museum and launched a package designed especially for dinosaur lovers. Available through Sept. 16, the “Dino-mite Package”includes two adult passes to see the new Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries exhibition at the Royal BC Museum (youth tickets are available for an extra cost; children five and younger are free); one-night hotel accommodation; some tasty Dino Drops (a chocolaty welcome gift packing an asteroid-like punch and prepared by the Inn’s pastry chef); and free parking. Rates start at $199 (based on double occupancy, subject to availability). The new Royal BC Museum Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries exhibition highlights ongoing, cutting-edge dinosaur research by American Museum of Natural History paleontologists and other leading scientists from around the world. Highlights of the show include life-size cast skeletons of a T-Rex and a Stegosaurus; hands-on activities for young visitors; an 18-metre long metallic model of an Apatosaurus skeleton; and a walk-through diorama depicting the 130-million-year-old Liaoning forest in northeastern China. Inn at Laurel Point is located within a short, 1 km walk to the Royal BC Museum and other downtown attractions. (http://www.laurelpoint.com, http://www.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca)
