Insight-Taj-Dec2

Featuring 10 “In a Class of Its Own” Luxury Gold itineraries, Insight Vacations has launched its 2016-17 India collection highlighted by escorted journeys taking in the sights and culture of India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.

As part of the new program, each of the itineraries have been carefully crafted to provide “Exclusive Insights, delectable Epicurean Dining and stays in some of the most Outstanding Hotels in the world, including the exquisite Oberoi and Taj properties.” Each trip features a “Travelling Concierge” who serves as a welcoming host and expert guide.

“Our new Luxury Gold by Insight Vacations India program represents outstanding quality and amazing value including the best hotels, dining, service and experiences possible,” says Insight Vacations CEO John Boulding. “Guests will journey beyond the ordinary seeing some of the most spectacular sights in the world that will amaze and live long in their memories – from the Taj Mahal to the city of Jodhpur, known as the Blue City for the blue painted houses.”

Cris David, president of Insight Vacations Canada, added, “Travelling to India with Luxury Gold is all about the incredibly rich culture that will welcome you with open arms, sharing a diverse mix of food, music and art. With the new introduction of direct flights to Delhi from Canada, India is now more accessible than ever to visitors – furthering the appeal of India to Canadian travellers.”

Highlights can include everything from riding through the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk market by rickshaw to meeting the locals on a village safari to meet the Bishnoi people of Rajasthan. Many days also feature Insight’s “Relaxed Starts” after 9 a.m., as well as smaller group sizes designed to ensure more personal attention, better service and extra legroom on coaches.

The program also features a section dedicated to Insight Cares, showcasing Insight Vacations’ support, in partnership with The Travel Corporation’s Treadright Foundation, of sustainable tourism projects that benefit the environment, cultural heritage and local communities. In India, Insight Cares is supporting the work of Wildlife SOS to improve the welfare of elephants.
