The first Wednesday in May is now known across the industry as Travel Agent Day, a day in recognition of the trade.

The annual affair, which this year takes place on May 3, is cause for celebrating the hard work travel advisers do each and every day, reports Ann Ruppenstein in this week’s digital edition of Travel Courier.

And as we all know, without travel agents all of those millions of vacationers, business travellers and those on the road to visit friends and family would be on their own – without the advice and counsel of a trained retail travel professional.
