korea300x200

The Korean government has implemented a new hotel tax refund policy to attract more international tourists to Korea. The new tax refund policy took effect on April 1, 2014 and will be in active for one year.

The new incentive policy is applicable to international visitors who stay more than two nights but less than 30 in participating hotels. Eligible recipients must present a detailed Hotel Stay Confirmation Form in order to apply. Reimbursements will be issued within 3 months of the check-out date.

The hotel tax refund must be submitted for processing prior to departure at designated tax-refund offices in the duty free zones within Incheon International Airport. Qualified international tourists must be visiting Korea on a tourist visa and leave within their stated visa period. Applicants must not be part of a pre-packaged tour.
