McCaig Retires as ACTA President

ACTA’s board of directors has announced the retirement of president and COO, David McCaig.

McCaig joined ACTA in 2001 as the regional manager of ACTA British Columbia and Yukon. He was quickly promoted to the position of vice-president and general manager for Canada in 2003 where he became responsible for the revenue side of the association, including Membership, the IATA ID Card Program and Partnership Programs.

In 2008, McCaig became president and COO of ACTA and took on all responsibility related to leadership, strategy, finance, membership, lobby and advocacy for ACTA’s members.

Mary Jane Hiebert, chair of the ACTA board of directors, commented, “On behalf of the board and members of ACTA, we thank David for his leadership over the past seven and extend best wishes as he begins this new chapter.”
