The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is gearing up already for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is set to take place on Tues., June 23, 2015 at 4 p.m. at the Toronto Congress Centre located at 650 Dixon Road, Toronto, Ontario.
This year, TICO will be holding an election for three positions on the TICO Board of Directors. The positions are open to the following registrants:
- One Retail, Wholesale or Marketing Group position (3 year term).
- One Retail position (2 year term).
- One Wholesale position (1 year term).
The retail, wholesale or marketing group position available on the Board of Directors is a new elected seat. It replaces the seat that was formerly held by an appointee from the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors (CITC).
All registrants will be receiving a Nominations package in February. Nominations must be received at TICO no later than 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Fri., April 24, 2015. TICO would like to remind those wishing to run for election to allow sufficient time to obtain the required Criminal Record Check, which must be submitted with the Nomination Form by the deadline date. Ballots will then be sent to Member Registrants and the results will be announced at the AGM.
